Our long time manager is becoming one of our franchisees and will be opening her own location, creating this job opening! The manager position is extremely important in our company and has growth potential. It includes ongoing training and has different levels of responsibility (and pay) for 3-6 months, 1 year, 2-3yrs, etc.
We are looking for a friendly, detail oriented/organized, hard-working, self motivatied, pet loving person willing to make a long term commitment to the company. Is that you?
The position involves a mix of office/desk work, pet sitting and dog walking in the field, and remote work (from home or offsite). Casual work environment. Core in-office hours are typically M-F 830am-1030am and 3:30-5:30, but flexible in-office hours on some days.
Our ideal candidate is:
-Capable of working independently in office and remotely
-Experienced in working with pets, especially dogs
-Comfortable speaking with clients
-Able to manage staff
-Honest, friendly, and genuinely caring
You must have own car. Preference will be given to residents of NE Queens or Western Nassau, as long commutes don%u2019t work well with the split hours. Must be very comfortable around dogs and have experience & knowledge of them and their behavior.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Answering phones and speaking with clients.
-Managing schedules, taking messages accurately, and contacting sitters on staff.
-Assisting with Bookkeeping using Quickbooks, including - entering invoices, bills and receipts, staff hours and paying staff, etc.
-Handling emails with client requests
-Coordinating your schedule to organize pick-ups and drop-offs of pets at the office here for daycare or boarding
-Walking/feeding/medicating pets at the office for daycare/boarding
-General office tasks, filing, etc.
-Filling in (dog walking and pet sitting) in the field as needed
We will provide paid training, Pet First Aid & CPR certificate classes every 2 years, branded clothing (not required to wear at all times), iPad for remote work.
This position carries a lot of responsibility. You will be managing the day-to-day operations of a successful and reputable pet services company. Join our team and learn the business from the ground up We will provide the support and training you need, to be a success in your job.
